Wanda Mae Susong

Wanda Pendleton Susong, 83. was born March 12, 1932 and passed away on April 7, 2015 at Claiborne County Nursing Facility. Wanda will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, Nana and friend. She was known for her caring and giving heart. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking, crafting and she generously shared the bounties of the skills with family and friends. She retired in 1995 from J.C. Penny in Middlesboro, Ky, where she worked for 43 1/2 years. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Cumberland Chapter #170 and Shawanee Chapter #436, Nancy Hawkes Club and Harrogate Garden Club. Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Regina (Lingar) Pendleton; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Bill and Sylvia Pendleton of Shawanee, Tn and Harold Pendleton of Monroe, MI.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Chester Susong, daughter, Lisa Susong of Knoxville, TN.; sons, Clark (Lynette) Susong of London, KY and Craig Susong of Ewing, Va; Grandchildren: Cyle and Lindsay Susong of London, KY and Steven (Naomi) Susong of Harrogate, TN; several nieces, nephews and dear friends. The family will receive friends from 5-7PM Friday, April 10, 2015 at Coffey Funeral Home in Harrogate, TN with Eastern Star and Funeral Service to follow at 7:00PM with Rev. Stewart Fultz officiating. Amy Pendleton singer. Graveside service will be held at 10:00AM Sat. April 11, 2015 at Harrogate Cemetery in Harrogate, TN. Pallbearers will be Greg Pendleton, Steve Pendleton, Junior Pendleton, Adam Pendleton, Cyle Susong, Steven Susong and David Bush.
