Adam R. Durant, 64, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 21, 2010 after a lengthy illness. Celebration of life service for Adam will be held at Hill Crest Funeral Home on Saturday, November 27, 2010 at 10:00. Rev. Lynn Malone will be officiating the service. Visitation will be held at Hill Crest from 5:00 until 7:00 on Friday November 26, 2010. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park.
He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, Paw Paw and big brother. He was a member of Benton United Methodist Church. He was a devoted employee of Gulf South Pipeline, originally known as United Gas Pipeline when he first went to work for them 42 years ago.
He was preceded in death by his father John E. Durant Jr., and mother Mary Ann Durant. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Peggy, two sons, Chris and wife Stephanie Durant ; Brian and wife Valerie Durant; two granddaughters Autumn and Savannah; three brothers, Bill Durant, Johnny and wife Darlene Durant ; Elmo and wife Ida Faye McGray; two sisters Jeanette and husband Andrew McDaniel, and Peggy and husband Michael Baham
Pallbearers will be Michael Baham, Scott Jackson, Sidney Dufrene, Terry Cancienne, Steve MacDowell, and Steve Bienvenu.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Barnes Jewish Hospital Foundation, Lung Transplant Fund, 1001 Highlands Plaza Dr. West, Suite 140, St. Louis, MO 63110 or Second Wind Lung Transplant Association 2169 Willow Ridge Lane, Chesterfield, MO 63017.
