Billy was born on June 21, 1947 in Linz, Austria to Albert Miller "Bill" and Edith (Rigler) Bruce. He joined the Air Force and served for over 20 years until his retirement. Billy began another career with Bossier Parish Community College in their Media Department for many years. He enjoyed vacationing with his family and spending time with his church family. He was camp counselor for summer camp.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Richard Bruce; sister, Pamela Bruce Creary; nephew, William Albert Creary; and aunt, Caren Dunn.
Billy is survived by his brother-in-law, William Creary (Cindy Guice); niece, Jennifer Creary Harris (Carl); great nieces, Caroline, Gracie and Claire. He will also be missed by his friends: Wanda and Rusty Colvin and Dave Kuecken.
A visitation for Albert will be held Wednesday, July 30, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel, 601 Hwy 80, Haughton, Louisiana 71037, a Celebration of Life will began at 11:00 AM. Interment with military honors will follow at Hill Crest Park.
