A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mr. Albert Holmes, 75, will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 6, 2021, at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home, officiated by Reverend Robert C. Hudson. Inurnment will follow in Hill Crest Memorial Park. There will be a brief visitation beginning at 10:00 AM prior to the service.
Albert was born on July 27, 1945, in Shreveport, LA to the late James and Eunice Caldwell Holmes and passed away on January 29, 2021. He was raised in Shreveport, attended Union Street School-Louisiana and Dudley Hair School of Profession. Mr. Holmes held a Bachelors Degree and was a professional hair stylist. He retired from Sir Al Salon which he owned and operated in Portland, Oregon.
Mr. Holmes is preceded in death by five of his brothers, Jesse, Johnny B., Scott, Jack, and Edward; along with his parents. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Sherry Holmes Jefferson of Shreveport, Kimberly Lubom Lovelace of Washington, and Achille P. Holmes of Shreveport; three sisters, Lou A. Holmes of Shreveport, and Mary Lewis and Reva Holmes both of Houston, TX; three brothers, Roy L. Holmes of Colorado Springs, CO, and Marvin Holmes and Frank Holmes both of Houston, TX; one aunt, Helen Marie Bell of Shreveport; and his former wife and friend, Barbara Holmes.
