Betty Mae George

A graveside service for Betty will be held Friday, June 21, 2024 at 1:00 pm at Hill Crest Memorial Park, 601 Highway 80 East, Haughton, Louisiana 71037 with Dr. Randy Harper officiating.

Betty was born in Colorado Springs, CO on March 24, 1938 to William and Viva Fowler. She met and married the love of her life, Billy George who was enlisted in the Air Force and spent her younger years travelling abroad. She had two sons, William and David and her great granddaughter Chasity. Betty was little and feisty, and had a heart of gold. Betty was involved, along with Billy in the El Karubah Shriners. She enjoyed making arts and crafts for her friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Nathan George and brothers, Richard Fowler and Robert Fowler.

She is survived by her loving husband, Billy George; sons, William George and wife Brenda; and David George and wife Holly; grandchildren; Bryan George and wife Maggie and Michael George and wife Tahnee; great grandchildren, Chasity Castoe and husband Jesse, Dalton George and wife Chelsea; great-great grandchildren, Ashton, Ivy, Brody, Ava, Kye, Eli James, Olivia, Piper and Teagan, and nieces and nephews.
