She was born in Magnolia, Arkansas on October 17, 1934. She was married to Robert L. Hanson Sr. on June 13, 1952.
Betty had a career as a Shipping Clerk for over 20 years at Touchstone Taxidermy. She had a passion for ceramics, estate sales, traveling, coffee with her sisters, and spending time with her family.
Betty joins in Heaven her loving husband of 63 years, Robert L. Hanson, Sr.; parents Clint “Kelly” and Phyllis Wright, father and mother-in-law, Phillip and Della Hanson; sister, Jean Chaney; brothers-in-law, Lon Chaney, J.P. Johnston and Jack Zeek.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons Robert L. Hanson, Jr. (Debby) and Clint K. Hanson (Janet); daughters Elizabeth Diane Barnes (Bob) and Deborah H. Quackenbush (John); grandchildren Jennifer Prejean (Jeffrey), Joni Moret, Courtney Hanson, Amanda Freeheley, John Quackenbush, Jr. (Haley), JoAnn Duet, Matthew Quackenbush, C.K. Hanson (Summer), Katelyn Quackenbush, Collin Quackenbush, Rebecca Quackenbush; and sisters Jackie Johnston, and Patsy Winslett; great grandchildren Machaela Mason (Dylan), Tyler Feeheley, Emma Prejean, Andrew Prejean, Ella Beauregard, Madalyn Mason, Graham Quackenbush, Tripp Hanson and Adeline Quackenbush; brother-in-law Gary “Mickey” Hanson (Beth); sister-in-law Charlotte Zeek and Phyllis Miller (Wayne); and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was a loving military wife and a mother of four wonderful children. She will always love us a bushel and a peck.
Services for Betty will be held at 10:00am, September 4, 2021, at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Friday, September 3, from 6-8pm at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home. Interment will follow services at Hill Crest Memorial Park.
Pallbearers for Betty will be Jeffrey Prejean, John Quackenbush, Matthew Quackenbush, C.K. Hanson, Collin Quackenbush, Tyler Feeheley, and Andrew Prejean.
