Beverly Hill Reed

BOSSIER CITY, LA - BEVERLY HILL REED, 76, passed away on June 30, 2011 in Santa Fe, New Mexico, with her daughter, little Bev, by her side. We rejoice in the end of her suffering and mourn the loss of our beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Beverly was a native of Fort Worth, Texas and would have called Bossier City her home. She was publications secretary at Waller Baptist Church in Bossier until her retirement in 2001. She is survived by 4 children: Kenneth Roberts, Michael Roberts, and Kathy Brown of Oklahoma City, OK and Beverly Fox Kellam of Santa Fe, NM; 3 step-children: Rickie Reed of Bossier City, Ronnie Reed of Olathe, KS and DeAna Bock of San Antonio, TX; 19 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; her brother, Kenneth Hill of Beaumont, TX and sisters Juanita Wolfe of Bridgeport, TX and Judy Murphy of Hillsboro, TX. She was preceded in death by her son, Richard Fox; husband, Alford Reed; and grandson, Uriah Golden. We will remember her for her loud and infectious laugh, her fast driving, lovely alto voice, good cooking, beautiful wreaths and flower arrangements, terrible card playing and general love of life! Visitation will be 6 pm Wednesday, July 6 at Hill Crest Funeral Home in Haughton, Louisiana. Funeral will be 11 am Thursday, July 7 at Waller Baptist Church in Bossier City, followed by interment at Hill Crest Cemetery.
