Carl was born on October 12, 1930 in Williamsport, PA. He was affectionately known as "Sarge" by his family and friends and loved to fish and hunt. He loved to tell stories about his days as a fisherman. This included the great catch of his life off the coast of Fripp Island, South Carolina in 1980. Sarge won the tournament with a mighty catch of a 59 lb Wahoo fish. He was accompanied by his nephew, Pete, on this memorable excursion.
He was a retired Tech Sergeant from the U. S. Air Force.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Flo Stroble.
Carl is survived by his daughter, Beverly Stroble, of Bossier City; nephew, Pete Galloway and wife, Adi, of Augusta, Georgia; sister, Barbara Brusso, of Bradenton, Florida; close friend of the family, Shelby Furqueron, of Bossier City; and other family and friends.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to all the nurses, physicians and staff at Willis Knighton Bossier; also for all the prayers from family and friends.
