Funeral services for Carlos Ruben Ubeda will be 10 AM Monday October 3, 2011 at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel. The family will receive friends at Hill Crest from 2-6 PM Sunday, October 2, 2011. At a later date the family will be taking Carlos back home to Nicaragua.
Carlos was born March 20, 1970 in Esteli, Nicaragua to parents Sodelva (Herrera) and Rafael Ubeda and passed away Thursday September 29, 2011 in Shreveport, Louisiana following a short illness. He was a member of the Catholic Faith. Carlos will be remembered by his many friends as the cashier at PEPEs in Haughton and Benton. He always had a smile on his face and time to visit with everyone. Carlos will be missed.
Carlos is survived by his parents, Rafael and Sodelva Ubeda, sister, Fatima Ubeda, brothers, Rafael Ubeda, Jr. and wife Claribel Espinoza, and Luis Ubeda . He is also survived by his uncles, Jose Ubeda, Ricardo Gean and wife Rosario, his niece, Claribel Ubeda Tebbano and husband Eric, his nephews, Rafael and Joel Ubeda, cousins, Ryan Ubeda and wife Maria and their children, David and Ryan Ubeda. Carlos also is survived by a very large extended family in Nicaragua.
