Christopher Patrick McLemore 9/84-11/18

I miss you more than words can define. 
I wish i could see you one last time!!!

So independent and wholly free. 
You, in all ways, inspired me. 

At 10 and 12 we met. 
Forever seeing the dept. 

Struck out on our own. 
As soon as we thought we were grown. 

Made our way clear. 
To all we held dear. 

Never thought the day would come. 
Without you having fun. 

I first saw your soul in eyes of blue. 
Forever missing not turning to you. 

Always thought you'd be around. 
Someday to retest my sound. 

So much I've lost with you gone. 
Me, you, and E having fun. 

Though I surely break when I say your name. 
Chris i will always feel the same. 

You are my brother in many things. 
My soul still knows all your names. 

This love and respect i hold for you. 
Serve to remind me of the you thats true. 

Tears bless my face. 
As i fall into your rhythm and bass. 

Your music speaks for you. 
Always the lead go to. 

Your melody catches my heart. 
Like you giving me a fresh spark. 

You shown so bright and true. 
Your true soul is why i love you. 

Not many know who you were to me. 
Your soul called as a brother speaking freely. 

More amazing than most will ever be. 
Surely I'll see you when you see me.

"I fancied that I heard them say, "Dear Lord, Thy will be done!
For all the joy Thy child shall bring, the risk of grief we run.
We'll shelter him with tenderness, we'll love him while we may,
And for the happiness we've known, forever grateful stay;
But should the angels call for him much sooner than we've planned,
We'll brave the bitter grief that comes and try to understand!"

I am so sorry for your loss.  You and your family are in our prayers.

I want to give you our deepest condolences.  My apologies that I wasn't able to come to your son's service.  We are prayerful that you will endure.

I am so very sorry.  I just found out. Patty and Sammi, please know that I love you both so much and you are in my heart and prayers.

Sending my condolences to chris family. Chris was an amazing friend and such a caring person. And so musically talented. His memory will live on.  R.i.p my good friend

I never knew Chris, but I know his brother Trey well. I have known Trey since he was about 13 when he was in school with my son p.j.  I think I met Chris and remember him to be quiet and polite; something rare these days.
I cannot offer any words, but I can say that I have a fair understanding of what you all are going through because I lost a brother who was 26. 
May the love and comfort of God and the Lord Jesus embrace your hearts and minds and bring peace and healing.

It may seem kind of silly, but when I think of Chris I am reminded first of a heavy handmade leather cigarette case that I carried for about 15 years. At some point, during a visit to Patty, I must have left it on a table and Chris, being a curious  toddler, found it. I guess it seemed like the perfect thing to teethe own. From that day it carried the perfect indentions of 6 tiny teeth, reminding me of him daily for the remainder of the time I had it. Today, more than ever, I wish I had it back.  My second thought used to make me chuckle, but at this moment induces a soulful smile,  recalling Patty as she related stories to me of her adventures potty training Chris. My heart was heavy last week with the news of Chris's illness. Thursday night it broke for Patty and Benny. As a parent I can only imagine the burden of their grief during this time, and I'm sure my imagination does not allow me to comprehend what they're going through. Even though the years have seen Patty and I I drift apart, I will always carry a special love in my heart for her and wish I could be of some comfort to her now. I do offer my prayers he can only hope they make a difference. RIP Chris...until your family meets you again.
