

SHREVEPORT, LA – Christopher Clay Nichols, age 43, of Shreveport, Louisiana passed away on Thursday, August 4th, 2016. “Clay” was the beloved husband of Erika Lynn Nichols. He was the father of five children, Hunter Leigh Nichols, Paige Woodle and husband Jordan, Krystle Gallegos and husband Nick, Stetson Waggoner and Lindsey Waggoner. One other person he considered like a son to him also was Shaun Fielhauer.
He is preceded in death by his father Robert Nichols and grandfather, Herman Chamblee.
He is survived by his mother, Dora Nichols and sisters, Jamie Parr and husband Kevin, Veronica Tamberino and Sonya Serena. Clay was also blessed with six grandchildren, Kareigh Woodle, Kaaynon Woodle, Aiden Hoffman, Juan Gallegos, Jaylin Gallegos, and Eli Gallegos. Clay was a favorite uncle to Kaitlin Parr, Jarrett Parr, Kacey Parr, Dane Tamberino, Casey Tamberino, Gabrielle Tamberino, Brittany Miller Alborty, Annette Miller, Eddie Miller, and Robert Serena. He was loved by Aunts, Shirley Adkison, Penny Chamblee, Geri Allred and husband Joe, and uncles Doug Bower and wife Linda, Robert Chamblee, Richard Chamblee, and Roger Chamblee.
Clay had numerous friends. All who met him called him “friend”. But among the most special to him were best friends John Buck, ex-wife Danielle Pomber, Tommy and Shelly Stewart, Haley Jones and Corey Edwards. And closest of all was his cousin Darren Peterson and wife Donna.
Clay attended Airline High School and was a mechanic at Shreveport Tractor. He had a passion for fishing, hunting, dancing and living life to the fullest.
There will be a service celebrating Clay’s life on Thursday, August 11th, 2016 at 1st Baptist Church of Haughton at 5:00 PM. Dr. Gevan Spinney will be officiating.
