A memorial service to celebrate the life of Daniel “Boone” Boyer will be held Friday, October 7, 2011 at noon in the chapel at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home in Haughton. Daniel was born on December 12, 1958 and went home to be with his Heavenly father on Monday,
October 3, 2011.
Daniel loved the Lord with all his heart, which was evident in his actions towards his family and friends. He was a hardworking, charismatic, and devoted man. His wife, three sons, and grandson were the joy of his life. Daniel was a man that believed family and friends were blessings to be cherished and he never shied away from sharing with others what the Lord had done for him in his life. He was a man of extreme quality and character, which was evident in his daily life and at his job as a deputy with the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Department. Daniel’s smiling face, love for life, and crazy sense of humor will live on with us forever.
Daniel was preceded in death by his parents Phyllis Nadine Boyer and David Boyer.
He is survived by his best friend and wife of 32 years, Deborah Boyer. He is also survived by his three sons, and grandson, the blessings of his life, Chad Boyer and wife Holly of Bossier City, Ruben Boyer and wife Dana of Bossier City, Aaron Boyer, and grandson Caden Boyer. Also left to cherish his memory are his brothers David Boyer and wife Dianna of Bossier City, Daren Boyer and wife Tonya of Bossier City, and his sister Denise Callen and husband Jimmy of Lake Charles. Also cherishing his memory are his mother-in-law Charlotte Ann Church of Shreveport, sister-in-laws Penny Ypya of Doyline, Jo-Jo Pearson and husband Jimmy of Shreveport, brother-in-law Ronnie Church and daughter Tiffany of Murfreesboro, AR, special family friend Kevin Ypya, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Even though he could not hold a tune here on Earth, his voice is angelic now, for he has gone to sing on high with our God. Daniel’s imprint on our lives will never fade. He has left us with incredible love and memories until we see him again. Rejoice, rejoice a child of God has gone home! We love you Boone!
The family would like to express a special thank you to the Caddo Parish Sheriffs Department and all of our friends for all of their love and support.
