Dolores "Tommie" Ray Bolen

Dolores “Tommie” R. Bolen, 82, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2013 at her home surrounded by family and friends. Tommie was born July 28, 1930 in Cary, MS to the late Oscar and Cora Lee McBride.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in the Hill Crest Memorial Chapel. Bro. Billy Pierce and Bro. Justin Haigler will be officiating the service. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park.

She is preceded in death by her guardians, Grace and Leonard Swint; husband, Col. George Bolen, Jr., daughter, Linda Sue Scogins and son, Benton Craig Scogins.

Tommie is survived by her brother, Allen McBride; step-brother, Fred Raley, Jr.; grandchildren, Jennifer Scogins Griffith, Heather Scogins Yancey and Eric Scogins.

She lived a wonderful life full of love and joy. She believed in investing her energies into those she loved and was a positive influence on all those who were privileged to know her. We will all miss and love you very much, GiGi.
