

Ellen N. Hamilton, 41, went to be with the Lord on Monday Sept. 2, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday Sept. 7, 2013 at First Baptist Church Benton, LA with Pastor Robert Beadle officiating and assisted by Boyce Pate and Chuck Duncan. Burial will be in Hill Crest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5-7 P.M. Friday Sept. 6 2013 at Hill Crest Funeral Home. The family requests memorials be made to Men’s Ministry of First Baptist Benton, LA.
Ellen was born April 12, 1972 at Ellisworth A.F.B., SD. She graduated from Airline High School, undergraduate courses from Bossier Parish Community College, graduated from Northeast, Monroe with a B.S. degree in Exercise Physiology, Master’s Degree from Louisiana Tech Ruston in Exercise Physiology and Associate Degree from Bossier Community College as a Physical Therapy Assistant. She worked at Willis-Knighton as an exercise specialist/cardiac rehab specialist. Ellen them moved to Arlington, TX and worked at Health South Rehab as a Physical Therapist Assistant. She loved sports especially basketball with her favorite team being the Lady Vols of Tennessee. Ellen played basketball in high school and intramurals in college. She loved life and enjoyed it to the fullest. Ellen touched many people’s lives through her work. She lost the battle to cancer but won the battle of life. The family extends a special thank you to all the doctors, nurses, and staff at Baylor Cancer Hospital, Dallas, TX for their kind and caring professionalism during this time.
Ellen was preceded in death by her paternal and maternal grandparents and is survived by her parents, John and Elaine Hamilton of Benton, LA and a number of other relatives.
