Anyone that knew him, knew that his two young children, Zachery and Aireanna, were his world. You could not have a conversation with him without him bragging on Zachery’s intelligence and Aireanna’s softball skills. He loved football – especially his New Orleans Saints and LSU Tigers. He would sit and talk football with you for hours on end if you’d let him.
Many know that he did not have the easiest road as an adolescent. He grew up in the Masonic Children’s Home in Alexandria, Louisiana. This did not deter from bettering himself day by day and achieving his goals. He graduated from Alexandria Senior High School, but he did not stop there. He attended Northwestern State University and obtained his bachelor’s degree in Social Work. While attending NSU, he pledged Kappa Sigma. Those bonds he made with his brothers are thriving still to this day – Brisket even stuck with him after all these years. Helping others was always his passion – he was the ultimate “Gentle Giant”.
He is survived by his parents, Eugene Brisset, Sr. and Doris Everage; his brothers, Kenneth and Donald Brisset; his son, Zachery; his daughter, Aireanna; his Heritage Crystal Clean work family; his Kappa Sigma Brothers; and many extended friends who have turned into family.
Services will be held at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home in Haughton, Louisiana on June 29, 2019. The family will be receiving friends at 1PM, and the services will immediately follow at 2PM.
Pallbearers will be Stacey Brooks, Mike Crenshaw, Brad Poston, Ryan Stehr, Chuck Weaver and Dale Montgomery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to the Kidd Kraddick Foundation – Kidd’s Kids (www.kiddskids.org) or the Kappa Sigma Fraternity Scholarship Foundation (www.kappasigma.org) in his name.
Not for a day, or an hour, or a college term only, but for life!
