

Floyd graduated high school in Great Mills, MD and joined the Air Force and upon honorable discharge, he began a career in electronics. He worked in Civil Service at Barksdale AFB until his retirement in 2004. Floyd and his wife Beverly began RVing for years around the country. His favorite place was Montana, he made sure to visit annually. Everywhere they went, so did his four legged friends, Nikki and Taffy. Floyd enjoyed watching sports, especially football, and reading.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, David Floyd Tyner; sister, Shirley Tyner and brother, William Earl Tyner.
Floyd is survived by his wife of 64 years, Beverly Tyner; son, Larry Thomas Tyner; sisters, Anita Dix and Arlene Smith and brother, James Tyner.
A visitation for Floyd will be held Monday, November 27, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home, 601 Hwy 80, Haughton, Louisiana, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM with Chaplain Jay Valentine officiating. Interment with military honors will be held at Hill Crest Park.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Bossier Parish Sheriff's Posse.
