Funeral services for Gale Irene McCorkle, 55, will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at the Hill Crest Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Hill Crest Memorial Park.Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at the Hill Crest Funeral Home.
Gale was born June 14, 1956 in Dayton, OH, and passed away April 16, 2012 in Haughton, LA. She was a School Crossing Guard at Stockwell Elementary School, and a resident of Haughton.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Hazel McCorkle.
Survivors include her father, Llewellyn McCorkle; daughter, Angie Myers; son, Thomas Smith; sister, Sharon McCorkle; brother, William McCorkle; seven grandchildren, grandson, Tristan Smith; and one great grandchild; constant companion, Michael Mathews; friends, Ernest and Peggy Mathews.
