Gerald “Ricky” Dean Jr., 60 of Shreveport, passed away December 9, 2023. He was born in Shreveport, Louisiana on July 15, 1963. Ricky attended Airline High School. He played football and was on the wrestling team. Ricky had a career in construction for Max Foote Construction as a Crane operator and supervisor. He had a passion for food, music, friends, and fun.
Left to cherish Ricky’s wonderful memories will be a number of beloved friends including Dustin and Heather Glass along with their children, Makayla, Mazie, and Mason; stepson: Joshua Adcock; Two grandchildren: Austin Adcock, Chloe Adcock; two brothers: James Murray, Sam Dean; his mother: Rita Murray; along with many extended family members; stepfather: James R. Murray lll; brother: James R. Murray lV and sister in-law: Segi Murray; sister: Sarah Harold and brother in-law: Erin Harold along with their children David and Simon Harold.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to all of their extended family and friends for the condolences and prayers provided during this difficult time.

A visitation for Ricky will be held Friday, December 29, 2023 from 1:00 PM until time for his celebration at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home, 601 Hwy 80, Haughton, Louisiana 71037 with Senior Pastor Robert Portier officiating.
Interment will immediately follow on the grounds of Hill Crest Memorial Park, 601 Hwy 80, Haughton, Louisiana 71037.
Honoring Ricky as pallbearers will be Dustin Glass, Joshua Adcock, James Haynes, James Murray, Joseph Wenk, Shane Smethers, Erin Harold, and David Harold. Honorary pallbearers are Joseph Kitchens and Austin Adcock.
