BOSSIER CITY, LA – Services to honor the life of Huey P. Fuller will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 23, 2014, at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Chris Hough, Pastor of Trinity Baptist Church. Interment, with military honors, will follow in Hill Crest Memorial Park. The family will receive guests on Friday evening from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Huey lived a life of 82 years filled with love, laughter, family, and friends. He passed away on Wednesday evening, August 20, 2014, leaving behind many who will miss him dearly. Huey was born in Monticello, MS on December 18, 1931, to parents Eligha and Edna Fuller. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Air Force during WWII, the Korean Conflict, and Vietnam, retiring as MSgt.
Huey is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Betty Jean Fuller; brothers, Buel, Jewell, Ray, and Wyman Fuller; sisters, Edna Turner, Irene Leach, and Faye McGuffee; and his parents. Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Steve Fuller and wife Barbara, and Don Fuller and wife Patty; sister, Margaret Faircloth and husband David; grandson, Ryan Nunley and wife Meredith; granddaughter and light of his life, Lauren Fuller; great-grandchildren, Hayden and Joseph Nunley; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Wayne Elliott, James Metrejean, Buddy Maloch, Scott Morgan, Tom Dennis, and Clay Plaisance.
