Inez Gilbert

SAHUARITA, AZ – Inez Gilbert, 84, was born on March 31, 1933 in Mount Vernon, KY to William and Ann Coffey and passed away peacefully on May 26, 2017 in Sahuarita, AZ. She was a member of Eastwood Baptist Church. Her hobbies included sewing, reading and completing crossword puzzles.

Inez was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Inez is preceded in death by her parents; and loving husband, Johnnie Gilbert.

Inez is survived by her son, Johnnie L. Gilbert, Jr.; daughters, Debbie Posey and Kimberly Campbell; step daughter, Leisha Rogers; nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; brothers, Gary and Howard Coffey; and sister, Norma Mullins.

Services for Inez Gilbert will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. with Dr. Scott Teutch officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday, prior to the service from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Honoring Inez as pallbearers will be Mike Barnes, Alex Gilbert, Austin Gilbert, Jeremy Gilbert, JT Sokol and Steven Sokol.

Honorary pallbearers will be Gregg Gilbert, Danny Gilbert, Ricky Gilbert and Tom Gilbert, Jr.

In lieu of flowers please donate to the Louisiana Children’s Home in Monroe, LA.
