Irma Lee (Hunter) Todd, age 93, of Bossier City, Louisiana passed away on Wednesday, July 12, 2023. Irma was born in Rayville, Louisiana on July 15, 1929 to the late Curtis Lee and Flora E. Wells Hunter. Beloved wife, mother, grand and great grandmother, Irma always made sure her family was taken care of. She bent over backwards to ensure that every single family member was loved and given a home, including their friends and children. From the hot meals she enjoyed cooking to a place to feel loved and safe. Everyone was kept in line, and in the know with words and, her favorite, hand written notes. From forming work family and close friendships to helping any and all who were blessed to have crossed her path, her friendliness and loving, caring nature were known by all. She was kind hearted and gracious, and will be truly missed by any all that had the pleasure to know her.
Irma was preceded in passing by her parents, her beloved husband; Fred Lawson Todd, two daughters: Deborah Jean Todd, Jan Todd, one sister; Anne Wood, two brothers-in-law: Jim Holcomb, and Jimmy Stewart.
Left to cherish Irma's beautiful memories will be her daughter; Linda Todd, two sisters: Julia Holcomb, Martha Stewart, five grandchildren: Justin Aycock and wife Kim, Tommy Wilson, Nicole Wilson, Cliff Todd, Reese Todd, many great-grandchildren, numerous extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.
Honoring Irma as pallbearers will be Tommy Wilson, James Rhodes, Cliff Todd, Evan Duck, Dwayne Wilson, and Justin Aycock.
A visitation for Irma will be held Tuesday, July 18, 2023 from 1:00 PM until time of Celebration at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home, 601 Hwy 80, Haughton, Louisiana 71037. Interment will immediately follow on the grounds of Hill Crest Memorial Park, 601 Hwy 80, Haughton, Louisiana 71037.
