Jack Burton Dobbs began shining and brightening this world of ours at 5:30 PM on June, 17, 2003. God entrusted this little bundle of joy to Donald Patrick and Kristina Marie Dobbs. Jack was born in Shreveport, Louisiana at Willis Knighton Pierremont Hospital.
Jack grew up in Converse, LA. He graduated from Converse High School on May 20, 2021. He played baseball, basketball, and ran cross country. Jack enjoyed the outdoors especially hunting, fishing, bowling, and 4-wheeler riding.
Jack was an active member in Union Springs Baptist Church where he accepted Christ as his Savior on August 16, 2015. Jack was very quick to smile, make everyone around him laugh and feel at ease. He never met a stranger. At least they weren’t a stranger for very long.
During high school, Jack began his self-employment journey by starting a lawn care business. After graduation, he worked briefly in the oil field before returning to his lawn business as well as doing handyman work. He also served as a volunteer fireman with Sabine Fire Department.
Jack was preceded in death by his great grandparents, Jack Patterson and Mildred Patterson, as well as his grandfather, Donald Burton Dobbs, Jr.
Jack is survived by his parents, Donald Patrick and Kristina Marie Dobbs; his siblings, Kimberly Denyse, Trevor Alan, and Irene Marie Dobbs; his grandmothers, Judy Borel and Margie Dobbs; along with a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Jack was called to meet his Lord on August 8, 2022 at approximately 3:00 AM in a fatal car accident in Mitchell, LA.
Jack was greatly loved by all of his family and friends. He will be missed every day until we all meet again. He was an undeniable presence in the lives of all those who knew him. He will remain in the hearts of friends and family alike and bring fond memories and smiles throughout the rest of their lives.
Services will be held at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home in Haughton, LA on Friday, August 12, 2022. Visitation begins at 10:00 AM with funeral services to follow at 12:00 PM officiated by Brother Richard Enterkin.
