Jack was born on April 30, 1939, in Shreveport, Louisiana, to Jack Linson and Lillie Martin Linson. He lived a life marked by hard work, strong faith, deep love for his family, and a willingness to help anyone in need.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 69 years, Mary Curd Linson. They were both just 17 when they married, beginning a lifelong partnership filled with love and devotion. He is also survived by his sister, Clara Kobs, his children, Jack David Linson (Ann), Cindy Melton (Marvin), Cheryl Harris (Stan), and Trixie Barker (Luke); his cherished grandchildren, Brett Harris, AJ Linson, Kristen Stewart, Rebecca Jordan, Blake Linson, Rachel Wall, Brooke Melton, Alexis West, Hannah Fiebiger, Haley Linson, Katherine Dondero, Hunter Dondero, Houston Barker, and Morgan Barker; and 21 great-grandchildren who brought him great joy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack Linson and Lillie Martin Linson; his sisters, Pearlie Linson, Syble Linson, and Barbara Hughes; and his brothers, Clifford Linson and Douglas Linson.
Jack believed deeply in providing for his family, working hard, and trusting God through every season of life. He took great pride in his career and was especially proud of being a top salesman at Bisineau Tropical Fish and Standard Coffee. Many who knew him often said he never met a coffee machine he couldn’t fix.
Outside of work, Jack enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. He loved riding go-carts, watching NASCAR, traveling, and seeing new places. He was also very involved in Cross Pointe Church, where he loved the people and valued his church family.
Above all, Jack loved Jesus. His faith guided his life and the example he leaves behind. What mattered most to him was his Lord and Savior and the family he loved so dearly.
Jack would want to be remembered as a good man who cared for his family, helped others whenever he could, and took life as it came. His legacy of love, faith, perseverance, and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Services will be held at Hill Crest Funeral Home in Haughton, Louisiana, with Steve Robinson and Austin Cragun officiating.

Jack's favorite Bible passage was
Psalm 23
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me;
thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies:
thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life:
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
