Jack E. Taylor

BENTON, LA – Services for Jack E. Taylor (Daddy Jack), 76, will be held on Thursday, April 4, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home with Dr. David Brice officiating. Interment will follow in Hill Crest Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday April, 3, 2013.

Jack was born on September 11, 1936, in Inman, Virginia and passed away peacefully, surrounded by his wife Peggy and great grandson, Brayden, on Sunday March 31, 2013 at his home in Benton.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Lucille Taylor; in- laws, Johnnie and Addie Sherrer; daughter, Jacqualyn Taylor Colvin and special son, Richard “Andy” Beck. Jack is survived by his best friend and the love his life for 55 years, Peggy Sherrer Taylor; grandchildren, Leigh Anne’ Colvin and Taylor Renee’ Colvin; great grandchilden, Brayden Taylor Colvin and Hunter Jyden Johnson; brother, Thomas Earl Taylor; brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Dolores Sherrer, many nieces and nephews, and special niece Charla Sherrer Honeycutt.

Honoring Jack as pallberers will be David Sherrer, Jeffery Howard, Mark Honeycutt, Jerry Horton, Bill Greene, James Rachel. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Ivan Smith, Jerry Hawkins, David Miller, John O Hara, James Owens.

The family would like to express a special thanks to the ICU nurses at Promise Hospital and St. Joseph’s Hospice for their love and support.
