Jacquelyne Ranae’ Bourgeois Bierwirth passed away unexpectedly on March 31, 2026, at the age of 51. Born on July 4, 1974, Jacquie lived a life marked by deep faith, joyful spirit, and unwavering love for her family and friends.
In 1986, Jacquie moved with her family to Barksdale Air Force Base, a place that would become her home. She graduated from Parkway High School in 1992 and went on to attend Louisiana State University Shreveport, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary English Education. Jacquie met the love of her life, David Bierwirth, in Tallahassee, Florida, but returned to her home of Bossier City, Louisiana, where they built a beautiful life together. Jacquie began a career as an energetic and compassionate English teacher at Elm Grove Middle School until she chose to become a stay-at-home wife and mother, making her family her priority. Through her homeschool journey with her children, Jacquie again taught grammar at her Classical Conversations co-op. Currently, Jacquie was the Director of Religious Education at her home church, Mary, Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Bossier City. In each season, Jacquie shined the light of Jesus, created a lasting impact, and continued cherished friendships.
Jacquie was a devoted wife and a loving, spirited mother to her five children: Brayden, Ashtyn, Chandler, Bennett, and Colin. She was never just an ordinary mom; she was the heart of joy in her home. Her laughter was contagious, and her humor and playful spirit were always perfectly timed when her children needed it most. Her ability to turn everyday moments into cherished memories was a gift her children will carry with them always.
Jacquie was preceded in death by her sister, Shelly Bourgeois McClung.
She is survived by her husband, David Bierwirth; her children, Brayden, Ashtyn, Chandler, Benett, and Colin Bierwirth; her parents, Martin and D’Ann Bourgeois; her sisters, Dr. Nichole E. Bourgeois and Dee Dee Mitchell; her brother, Marty and his wife, Michelle Bourgeois; and her beloved nieces and nephew: Alex and husband, Dylan Wilson, Andi and husband, Reed Sikes, Alyssa McClung, Maye Bourgeois, Brianna McClung, Dani Mitchell, and Beau Bourgeois.
Jacquie had a remarkable gift for making others feel seen, valued, and loved. She approached life with grace, always choosing kindness and seeing the good in everyone she met. She carried the burdens of her friends and family and celebrated their victories. To know her was to experience genuine friendship and unwavering love.
Her Catholic faith was the foundation of her life. She loved the Church deeply and found great peace in the sacraments, especially the Holy Eucharist. Prayer was a constant in her life, whether in quiet reflection or while praying the rosary. She lived her faith boldly and joyfully, reflecting the love of Jesus Christ in her words and actions. Through her example, she inspired others to grow in their faith and to trust in God’s plan.
Honoring Jacquie as pallbearers will be Dusty Dupont, Luke Dupont, Jeremy Griffin, Nathan Griffin, Reed Sikes, and Danny Simon.
Visitation will be held at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. A Rosary will be prayed at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Mary, Queen of Peace Catholic Church, officiated by Father Karl Daigle and Deacon Michael Straub. A graveside service will follow at Hill Crest Cemetery at 11:30 a.m., with a reception afterward at Mary, Queen of Peace Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mary, Queen of Peace Catholic Church Youth Programs.
Though she is no longer with us in body, Jacquie’s spirit lives on in every act of kindness, every shared laugh, and every life she touched. Her legacy of love, faith, and joy will continue to shine through her family and all who knew her.
She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.
