James Richard Campbell, age 65, of Haughton, Louisiana, passed away May 16, 2024. Services to celebrate his life will begin with a visitation Sunday, May 19, between 2:00 and 4: 00 PM. The funeral will be Monday, May 20, at 2:00 PM with Dr. Scott Holmes presiding and Dr. Robert Finley assisting. All services to include interment will be held at Hill Crest Memorial in Haughton, Louisiana.
James was a kindhearted soul. He always had a positive attitude, even in difficult times. James loved Jesus, his wife, Debbie, sister, Joann, and all of his family and dear friends. He married the love of his life in 2003 and gained a beautiful daughter, Vickie Lynn. He was an active member of Gateway Church in Shreveport, Louisiana, where he served on the Missions Board.
During James’ management career with Sherwin Williams, he was awarded several honors. More importantly, however, were the lifelong friendships that he cherished. As a member of the Red River Modelers, James enjoyed collecting and building model airplanes. He always look forward to that next hobby show. James will be greatly missed by all that love him.
James is preceded in death by father, James Robert Campbell, mother, Nora Jane Dudney Campbell; and sister, Janis Susan Campbell. Left to cherish his memories are His wife of 20 years, Debora L. Campbell, of Haughton, Louisiana; sister, Joann Campbell, of Louisville, Kentucky; uncle, Truman Campbell and wife, Sharon, of Texarkana, Arkansas; aunts, Carolyn Burks and husband, Tom, of Texarkana, Arkansas; Thelia Hutson and husband, Tim, of Texarkana, Arkansas; brother-in-law, J.C. Bailey and his wife Judy, of Doyline, Louisiana; niece, Jessica Sandifer and husband Dewayne, of Shreveport, Louisiana; nephew, Joey Bailey, and his wife Mandy, of Bossier Parish and their two sons, Jace and Jax Bailey.
Serving as Pallbearers are: J.C. Bailey, Joey Bailey, Dewayne Sandifer, Trae Bordelon, Ben Schmaltz, and Chad Hart. Honorary Pallbearers are Jace Bailey and Jax Bailey.
