Jerry Wayne Upchurch

Funeral services for Jerry Wayne Upchurch will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday, January 27, 2013 at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel with Rev. Perry Hart, pastor, Line Creek Baptist Church officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in Hill Crest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5-7 P.M. Saturday at Hill Crest.

Jerry was born January 11, 1958 in Shreveport, LA to parents, Beulah Mae (Tarvin) and William Lee Upchurch and passed away in Atlanta, TX January 23, 2013. He was a graduate of Byrd High School and a retired Sergeant First Class with the U.S. Army National Guard. Upon retirement Jerry worked for the Bossier Parish School Board and retired there and was currently working at the Red River Army Depot.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his wife, Jackie Upchurch, his son, Clayton Scott Upchurch, and his daughter, Chrissie Lynn Purcell and husband Neal. He is also survived by his sister, Margie Foster, brothers, James and Charles Upchurch, step children, James Fay and Jennifer Long, grandchildren, Scott Edward and Andrew Wayne Purcell, and step grandchildren, Lindsey and Zach Fay, Brianna Long, and Madelyn Chaudoir.

Pall Bearers will be Clay Upchurch, Richard Foster, Dwight May, Jason Foster, Neal Purcell, and Danny Foster.
