John H. McGuire

BOSSIER CITY, LA – John Holt McGuire passed away on August 28, 2015. Services celebrating his life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel with Pastor Chris Young of South Bossier Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 31, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

John was born in Draper, NC to Oren and Maxine McGuire. He joined the Air Force and served for over 22 years, reaching the rank of CMSgt. After retirement he began working as a service manager in the automotive industry. He loved to work on cars and bicycles. John would repair bikes and give them to kids in need of one. He was a faithful member and Deacon of South Bossier Baptist Church and volunteered as a Bossier Sheriff Posse member.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Charles and Bill McGuire and grandson Isaac R. Pope. John is survived by his wife Dot McGuire, children Mike McGuire and wife Nelda, Bob McGuire and wife Kim, Bruce McGuire, David Pope and wife Paula and Stacey Milliot and husband Mike and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
