Judith Ann Heitz Manthei

HAUGHTON, LA - A Memorial service for Judith Heitz Manthei will be held on Monday, August 5, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel. The family will be receiving friends on Monday, August 5, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. until time of service.

Judith Ann was a very dedicated and caring nurse for over 50 years. She has worked in most hospitals and hospices in the Shreveport/Bossier area and is well known in the medical community. She was a nurse in the Shreveport/Bossier area, as well as Los Angeles, CA. She enjoyed sewing, reading, gardening, traveling and creating memory books for her granddaughter, Ava. She was an incredibly giving and selfless woman.

She was preceded in death by Dorothy Dixon Rue (mother) and Herb Heitz (father).

She is survived by Nicole Sassaman (daughter), Ava Sassaman-Abrams (granddaughter), Judd Abrams, Gene Heitz and wife Cindy (brother), Edward Heitz and wife Toni (brother), Bill Heitz and wife Judy (brother). She is also survived by her best friend, Margaret Dodson and husband, Hugh Dodson and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
