Katherine was born in Hosston, LA on January 19, 1935 and passed away on August 7, 2017 in Blanchard, LA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Hazel Garza and sister, Sue Labor.
Katherine is survived by her husband, Jack L. Dowden; son, Charles Richard Dowden and wife Diane; daughter, Katherine Schumacher; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; brothers, Bobby Garza, Danny Garza and wife Billie Jean, Sammy Garza and wife Linda and sister, Millie McDonald and husband Joe McDonald.
In lieu of flowers the family requests a donation to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer’s Association.
