Kathy Angela Cole Smith was born August 15, 1951, in Winnfield, Louisiana. She was one of two children born to parents, Robert William and Helen Malone Cole. On September 2, 2021, Kathy passed away at Post Acute Medical Center in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Kathy was an educated woman, putting her Bachelor’s Degree to use as a Social Worker caring for the disabled. She moved from Natchitoches, Louisiana to the Shreveport area in 1980. In years past she attended, and was a member of, Broadmoor Assembly of God Church. Most recently, Kathy was a resident of Heritage Manor on Mansfield Rd., Shreveport.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Emmitt Harvey Smith; and her parents. Left to cherish her memory is her brother, Marty Cole and wife Cookie; along with friends who loved and cared for her.
A graveside memorial service will be held for Kathy at 2:00 PM, Thursday, September 9, 2021, at Hill Crest Memorial Park, Haughton, Louisiana.
