Katie Ruth Buford

Services to celebrate the Home Going of Mrs. Katie Ruth Buford, 103, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 5, 2019, at Central Assembly Church of God “Church of the Cross”, in Haughton, LA. Officiating her service will be Bro. Ken Richmond. Interment will follow in Forest Park East Cemetery, Shreveport, LA. Visitation will be on Monday evening from 5-7 p.m. at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home, Haughton, LA.

Mrs. Buford is preceded in death by her husband, David Buford; son, Melvin Lewis; son-in-law, Jeff Hiers; and her parents. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Frances Walker and husband Jimmy, Herschel Buford and wife Sue, Bobbie Buford, and Barbara Hiers; along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
