Larry Baker

He is survived by his mother, Phyllis Slowiak and his Bonus Father, Lenard Slowiak; his three children, Justin and his wife Mariah Baker, Lauren Brown, and Cody and his wife Heaven Baker; along with his grandchildren, Noah, Aspen, Ava, Makinzee, Beau, Jackson and baby Elijah (on the way). He will also be missed by his brothers, Randy and wife Jeanna Baker and Jeff and wife Jamie Baker; as well as step brother, step sister, and many nieces, nephews and cousins and friends.

Larry was a certified Firefighter from A&M. He also had many certifications and training in the Hazmat field. Larry spent a majority of his life in the hazmat field and also ran jobs like Columbia Shuttle recovery team, Katrina search and rescue and recovery, and the BP Spill in south Louisiana. He Enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was an amazing father and Pawpaw to his grandchildren that he loved deeply.

At Larry’s request no formal service will be held. There will be a Celebration of Life held at their home in Bossier City on Saturday February 19, 2022 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
