There are not enough words to describe this sweet, blonde haired, blue-eyed soul. Lawson Bo made the most of his life. Although his life was cut short, he made such an impact on so many. He was known to make people laugh with his grin, which was toothless most of the time. Lawson was carefree and tender hearted, yet tough as nails. He was never lacking in confidence, food on his face, stains on his shirt, or of course, sticky fingers. He was known to be the “class clown” and could usually smile his way out of his mischievous endeavors. He had a love and passion for running and playing in the pasture with his brothers, hunting with cousins, and playing sports with an awesome group of friends. His biggest passion was baseball, which he shared a deep connection with his father, who was so blessed to be able to spend so many hours being his coach. Lawson had his own personal photographer, his loving, faithful mother, who was his biggest fan and cheerleader.
While sharing memories of sweet Lawson’s life, the family remembered this past Thanksgiving. Lawson shared a beautiful prayer in which he listed his many blessings. The family remembers feeling so proud and sure that he was secure in his faith and wise beyond his years.
Lawson was a 3rd grader at Platt Elementary and a faithful member of First Baptist of Haughton.
Lawson was preceded in death by his Papaw Jerry Lee Brandon; paternal great grandparents, Quinton and Nannie Brandon, Robert and Inez Fellknor, and Marion Bohanan; maternal great grandparents, Conrad and Virginia Isom, and Dean Cox.
He is survived by his loving parents, Jerry and Kristen Brandon; two brothers, Hagan and Jerry Lee Brandon III; grandparents, Clay and Beverly Bohanan, Bernie and Dana Isom and Pat and Mical Collins; great grandparents, Rufus Bohanan and Doris Cox; his Uncle Dustin and Aunt Kelly Brandon, Aunt “Sissy” and Uncle Chris Ripoll, Aunt Chesney and Doug Finley, Uncle Craig Isom, Aunt Paula Carter-Austin, Aunt Lynn and Uncle George Cole, and Uncle Kyle Isom; cousins, Brandee and Chuck Stigall, Chris and Tracie Isom, Colby Isom and Josh Cole; Jonathan, Brooklyn, and Clayton Brandon; Ty, Will and Rayne Ripoll; Ethan Finley; Taylor and Brooke Stigall; and Kagan, Grayson Zander and Jozey Isom.
The family would like to thank their church family and many friends for their tremendous amount of support and prayers. Lawson’s spirit will live forever in the hearts of all who knew him and his precious body will continue to bless others in need thanks to the selfless decision of his parents. We will miss you, Lawson. Heaven is a sweeter place with you in it and, no doubt, a lot more fun. And yes, Lawson, you were as great as you thought you were!
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials or donations honoring Lawson be made to Haughton Dixie Baseball, P.O. Box 340, Princeton, LA 71067.
