When Jim joined the Army Air Force Ruth accompanied him to several base assignments from Wisconsin and South Dakota to Mississippi but returned to Haynesville while Jim served overseas until his discharge in 1945. They started their family with a daughter and one son before they moved to Bossier City in 1950, added two more sons to their family, and never moved again, except to Heaven. She loved working in her yard, especially her flowers and garden. Visitation for Ruth Tynes will be Thursday, August 1, 2013 at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. and a graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 2, 2013 at Hill Crest Memorial Park. The family expresses appreciation to the staff of Heritage Manor Stratmore for their care and compassion during our Mother’s time with them. It is hard for us to be sad when we know Mother is singing with the angels now and probably playing piano, too. We will miss you for a while but we know we will see you again.
