Lyla was born in Mesa, AZ on December 12, 2008 to the proud parents Andy and Scarlett Sobolak. She was an active, loving child who cherished everyone she met. Softball was her heart and the field was her home. To know Lyla was to love her. She had a smile that would light up an entire room. Lyla was a very precious soul that loved spreading joy to others. She delighted in being surrounded by her family and friends.
Lyla was a student at Cope Middle School in Bossier City, and was a member of the Cope Middle School softball team. She thrived in school amongst her friends and in her academics.
She is survived by her parents, Andy and Scarlett Sobolak of Bossier City, two brothers; Tanner and Rex, Grandparents; Suzanne Sledge Whitley of Martin, LA, Melton Pickett of Castor, LA, Johnny and Donna Reed of Greenwood, LA, Dan and Connie Sobolak of Houston, TX, along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
She is preceded in death by her loving Aunt Ruby Janna Torralva of Houston, TX.
Visitation for Lyla will be Thursday July 7, 2022 10am at Calvary Baptist Church, 9333 Linwood Ave., Shreveport, LA with service at 11am followed by procession to her resting place in Clear Springs Cemetery at Martin, LA.
