HAUGHTON, LA – Services for Mr. Manuel J. Hernandez, 81, will be held at 3:00 p.m., Monday, April 18, 2016, at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Hill Crest Memorial Park. Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. prior to the service. Casual dress, please.

Mr. Hernandez is preceded in death by his parents and one son. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Susan Hernandez; his children, Earlene Hodges (George), Joe Hernandez (Dorothy), Tina Moore, Mike Hernandez (Linda), Cindy Stewart (Ray), Sherri Smith, and Randy Hernandez (Brandi); brothers, Phillip Hernandez (Susan) and Freddie Hernandez (Nell); grandchildren, Kristy Howland (Harry), Steven Stewart (Brooke), Lisa Stewart, Krystal Griffith (Tyler), Emmy Smith, Miranda Hernandez, Kaycee Hernandez, Sarah Hernandez, Daniel Hernandez, and Michael James Hernandez; great-grandchildren, Destiny Blossom, Star Howland, Shelby Stewart, Drake Stewart, Jax Stewart, Blane Long, Jaxon Burns, Preston Hernandez, Liam Smith, Andrew Bradley and Nathan Hernandez, numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Hernandez served 26 years and was Ret. Army National Guard 527th Eng. Batt. He also retired from LA. Downs after 25 years.

Pallbearers are Joe Trice, Billy Stengel, Ricky Lunsford, Ross Helverson, Thomas Burge, and Clif Williams.
