Didn't know him that well but I am saddened to know that he is gone. He was here for a little while at Progressive Care Center. So sorry to you Denise and Mrs.Minnie. We all send our love and prayers

   Your family was like my own family.Mark was the kindest man I knew.He had the best soul for anyone who knew him.It's hard to believe your family has been in my life for 38 years.I have been blessed knowing your wonderful family.I love you all and I will miss Mark.

Mark, I'm sorry I missed the service. It was wonderful, I'm sure. You see, I had a stroke, too. And a lot of what I've gone through is so much like yours. But I'm better now. And I think it's because of my feelings for God and my wife. It's sad that something like this happens. Hold on, hold on my dear friend. It will all be alright. Maybe, just maybe God really does have a plan, and you're needed. Rest assured that us that remain will keep a lookout.      I have known Mark since 1979 and have always considered him to be a good friend to me.  Although we lost touch in the last year, I have thought about him often.  Mark had a dry sense of humor/wit and easy-going personality, but the greastest trait was that he was just himself and did not try to impress you (although he had plenty of accomplishments to brag about)!  Judging by the number of people who attended his service he was loved by many.  I know that I will miss him terribly.  Debbie Sams

Mark will be greatly missed. He was a wonderful and kind person, he always had a word for anyone he seen. I know the whole motocross family will miss him greatly. We will keep his family in our thoughts and prayers.

Mark was always a lot of fun to be around when we were going to school at B.A. Bumped into him this summer and caught up a little.  Didn't know he was having health problems.  He sure will be missed.

Mrs. Bates and Bumper, Heaven is a Better place now and Allen Offutt has a Good Friend to ride with now. If Mark pushes that Bike too hard and falls We know that Mr. Bates will make Him get back on and He will Lap the Field just like He did in Life. We had so much Fun riding our Dirt Bikes behind Platt and being chased by Mr.Dupuy when we rode past the fence. Watching Mark compete was a sight you could not forget because even on His bad days He could ride circles around most other Racers. I could never keep up with Mark except when He wanted Me to, He was just too Fast! He was just as Fearless in those Boats He drove so well. In the last few years our meetings and talks were too few but always a Treat and Mark will be Greatly Missed until We meet again.

You and your family have been in my prayers for months,,sometimes our prayers are not answered like we wanted...but, God knows best! 
     You, Denise and Jeff will remain in my prayers for what is ahead is not going to be easy for you. But thank God Mark is not suffering.  Stay strong and dwell on all the good times!  It seems like just a month ago Mark and many of Stephen's friends were in the den. laughing, talking and picking on each other!

     Remember I have been there!  When you feel like talking call me!

Bea, I am so sorry to hear about Mark, I truly know what you are going through because we lost our only son 6 years ago at the age of 46, I know you will get through this with a lot of Prayers and mine will be with you also.

             A message from Mark

     My body is not here but my spirit 
          will be with you always,
      Look for signs of my presence in 
             the coming days,
   Motorcycles, fast cars and speeding
          boats are just a few,
   Watch the squirrels they will have 
             a message for you.
       Kool Aid Kool Aid is a drink 
             I absolutely love,
      Make a toast to me and I will
             smile from above.
       I assure you I am happy here
          so don't be sad or blue,
    All the wonderful things you have

We want you to know that Linda and I have you in our prayers.  Actually you have been on our minds for some number of weeks with Mark going through this recent series of health difficulties.  Mark has been a a very good friend of ours since back in the early 80's.  We have kept close all of these years.  

We all had some great times together traveling to boat races with your family as well as Lake Greeson and your home there in Haughton.  Ms. Bea you were always a gracious host and we always felt we were at home.  Thank you for the memories.  

Today we share in the loss of Mark, but we rejoice now as we know he no longer suffers.  We will cherish the memories we have and the times we shared, they will not be lost.
