Mark Steven Thompson

Celebration of Life service for Mark Thompson will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 30, 2015 at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel with Bro. Doyle Arender and Pastor David Henderson officiating. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 29, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mark’s earthly birthday is October 25, 1952, and his heavenly birthday is January 25, 2015. He was a lifelong resident of the Shreveport/ Bossier area. Mark was an Army veteran. He was the Pastor at Faith Church of God. He also worked at Security Plan Insurance for 25 years. He loved preaching the word of God, fishing, looking at the lake and enjoyed nature.

He was preceded in death by his parents Joe and Frankie Thompson, twin sisters Brenda Jones and Linda Owens, brother Jason Thompson and nephew Micheal Patrick Rich.

Left to cherish his memory are his sisters Connie Burdine and husband Roy of McKinney, TX, Jody Bailey and husband Cliff of Benton, LA as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Moon, Rodney Moon, Kelly Moon, Jordan Langlois, Joe Duckington and Robert Sanders. Honorary pallbearers will be Bro. Billy Haynes, Ryan Moon, Quentin Moon, Tristian Moon, Kylie Moon, Riley Moon and Wyatt Moon.
