BOSSIER CITY, LA - Services to celebrate the "Home-Going" of Rev. Maurice K. James, 89, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 16, 2015, at the Pentecostals of Bossier City, officiated by Pastor Jerry Dean. Interment will follow at 4:00 p.m. in Drakes Fork Cemetery, Cravens, LA. Visitation will be held on Friday evening from 6-8 p.m., also at the Pentecostals of Bossier City.
Maurice was born on October 2, 1925, and went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, May 13, 2015. He was born in the small town of Leesville, LA and was one of three children born to Columbus "C.C." and Willie James.
Maurice is preceded in death by his loving wife, Lois James; daughter, Georgia Caron; and his parents. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Keven James and wife, Teresa, Brenda James Edwards, and Melissa James Coker and husband, Gary; sisters, Carolyn Areno and Ella Faye Arnold; eight grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren.
Honoring Rev. James as pallbearers are Michael Smith, Clint Walton, Bridger Lane Edwards, Bridger Aubrey Edwards, Patrick Rowell, and Robin Fletcher.
