November 19,1957 - January 31st, 2022
Michele E. Poteet passed away Monday, 1/31/2022, due to prolonged health complications. Michele was a graduate of Haughton High School class of 1975 and resided in the Shreveport / Bossier area all her adult life working as a nurse professional.
She is preceded in death by her father, Charles C. Poteet, Jr. and mother, Loretta H. Poteet.
She is survived by older brother, C. Baxter Poteet; younger brothers, Darrell C. Poteet, Dwane K. Poteet, and Bryan L. Poteet. Nephews and nieces, Bryce Poteet, Sean Poteet, Alexandra Poteet, Nikolai Poteet, Charlie Poteet, Cameron Poteet, and Adelle Poteet. She had a multitude of cousins located across Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas.
A visitation memorial will be held at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home on 3/11/2022 at 5pm. Ms. Poteet will be laid to rest as per her wishes next to her grandmother and grandfather Poteet in Westview Cemetery, Section 27A Plot #5, in Atlanta, Ga.
In leu of flowers, the family would appreciate a donation to American Heart Association to combat the heart and vascular disease.
