Mildred Jeanne Stubbs Jones

Mildred “Millie” Jones of Bossier City, LA passed away after a sudden illness on August 4, 2015. Services will be held Sunday, August 9, 2015 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel at Hill Crest Funeral Home in Haughton, LA with burial at Hill Crest Memorial Park. Visitation for friends will be held prior to the service Sunday from 12:00 noon to 2 PM.

She was born in Camden Point, MO on July 2, 1931 to Nelson J. Stubbs, Sr. and Esther Florence Acker Stubbs. Millie is predeceased by her beloved husband James E. Jones and daughter Debra Jeanne Jones, and two brothers Nelson J. Stubbs, Jr. and Donald Stubbs. She is survived by her son Larry J. Jones, Sr. and wife Mary of Bossier City, LA, one brother Richard “Rich” Stubbs and wife Carolyn of Platte City, MO, one sister Virginia “Ginny” Brown and husband Bob of Mansfield, TX, her sister-in-law Wanda Stubbs of Gower, MO, grandsons Larry J. Jones, Jr. and wife Karen of Maitland, FL, Matthew S. Jones of Benton, LA and David Paul and wife Ashley of Shreveport, LA., and much loved nieces and nephews. The loves of her life were her great grandchildren Dillon Reed Jones and Margaret “Maggie” Elizabeth Jones of Maitland, FL.

Millie was truly loved by all who knew her and will never be forgotten. Pallbearers will be grandsons Larry, Matt, and David, and friends Mike Timms, Jr., Justin Turner, and Lee Wooldridge.
