On May 21, 2020, Nomi made her final journey home after a lengthy illness.
Naomi was born January 4, 1945 to Reverend David J. Vasco and Reverend Violet R. Vasco. She received her nickname Dinky from her dad because she was so tiny and that is why she has been called that to this day.
January 30, 1959, she married her true love, Rufus Williams. They had two sons, Eric and David.
Naomi was preceded in death by: her father, David; mother, Violet; her brothers, Ace and David; and her sisters, Texie and Margaret.
Left to cherish her memory are: her husband, of 61 years, Rufus; her sons, Eric and wife, Mary Jane, David and wife, Kaye and her adopted daughter, Ester. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews.
Her greatest joy was when she was named DD. She loved her babies and they will miss her dearly. Left to carry on her legacy are: grandchildren, Aaron and wife Hannah, Alan and wife Lauren, Mary, Lindsey and husband Brandon, Lauren, and Lance. She has seven great-grand babies, Owen, Collum, Logan, Liam, Lincoln, and Samuel.
Mrs. Williams will be laid to rest May 23, 2020 at Hill Crest Memorial Park at 2:30 PM, with Brother Milton of the Bradford House, presiding.
We would like to thank the Bradford House and SICU at Willis-Knighton North for the care they provided our DD.
