A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Central Assembly of God Chapel. The family will be receiving friends on Tuesday, December 7, 2010 from 5:00- 8:00 p.m. at Hill Crest Funeral Home. Rev. Andy Harris, Pastor, and Rev. Kent Craft, Senior Adult Pastor of Central Assembly of God Church will be officiating the service. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park.

Nora enjoyed camping and spending time with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son, Billy Farrington and sister, Jean Hobbs.

She is survived by her husband, Oliver Jimmie Tipton; three sons, Rodney and wife Evelyn Farrington, their children, April and husband Jason Gantt; Jimmy and wife SomerAnne Tipton, their children, Zachary and Cody, Erwin and wife Susan Tipton and their children, Spencer and Sawyer; one daughter, Sherry and husband Curtis Garrett and their daughter, Courtney and daughter-in-law, Dorothy Farrington and her children, Jessica and husband Rich Bolesta and Jason and wife Brittney Farrington. She is also survived by her brother, Charles F. Rickman, Jr.; sisters, Betty Leach, Juanita Matlock, and Linda Norrid; grandsons, Jason Farrington, Zachary, Cody, Spencer, Sawyer Tipton; granddaughter, Courtney Garrett and great grandchildren, Jordan Gantt, Tyler Bolesta, Jenna Farrington, Jordan Bolesta and Taylor Harper.

Pallbearers will be Jason Farrington, Zachary Tipton, Spencer Tipton, Jordan Gantt, Cody Tipton and Sawyer Tipton.

Memorials may be made in her honor to Christus Schumpert Cancer Treatment Center.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Christus Schumpert, 6th Floor Nursing Staff and the Cancer Treatment Center.
