Odessa Lockey

HAUGHTON, LA – Services celebrating the life of Odessa Elizabeth Lockey will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park. The family will be receiving friends on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Odessa was born in Bienville Parish on March 8, 1926. She was a longtime resident of Bossier Parish, LA. She worked as a nurse’s aid at Bossier General Hospital. Aside from loving her job, she truly enjoyed her yard. She loved flowers and gardens and if you knew Odessa, you knew she loved “to gather things” like blueberries.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lynn Lockey; sister, Joyce Plunkett; brother, Roy Duck and niece, Toni Watts.

Odessa is survived by her son, Kenneth Burnum and wife Annette; granddaughter Lisa Combs and husband Jerry; great grandchildren, Orry Combs and Ivy Combs; great, great grandchildren; Vayra, Livvy, Aivyana and Avyn; sister June Watts and husband O.G.; brothers, John Duck and wife Dean and Tom Duck and wife Erma as well as numerous nieces, nephews and dear friend and neighbor, Carolyn Hammons.

Pallbearers will be Orry Combs, Sonny Watts, Danny Hatch, Rodney Hatch, Garin Hatch and Mark Kennedy.
