

Graveside services are scheduled for Monday, April 2 at 11a.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Haughton, LA. Pastors Stephen Murphy and Donald Tucker of St. Joseph’s Hospice will officiate the services.
Patricia was born on December 23, 1934 in Shreveport, LA. to William and Roberta Brewer. She attended Byrd High School. She eloped to marry her high school sweetheart, Robert E. Hayden on February 8, 1952.
Patricia was preceded in death by her beloved husband Robert E. after 52 years of marriage. Much of her life involved their working together on their many business ventures. Patricia stood by her husband’s side running their auto parts store, auto sales and rental properties.
She was a spirited, fun-loving woman who loved to fish, play the piano collected dolls and antiques and didn’t mind a day at the boats. She spent many days sitting on the dock at the American Legion Club fishing with her mother and her daughters. Before her illness she was member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Bossier City. She was also a member of the Shreveport Doll Club.
Patricia is survived by her three children Jeff Hayden (Lola) of Bossier City, LA., Suzan Wellborn of Shreveport LA, and Brandi Hayden Barnhill of Benton, LA. She had nine grandchildren Brian Hayden (Amanda), Collin Hayden, Bonnie Wellborn Malzewski (Alan), Trey Wellborn (Whitney), Madison Wellborn, Hayden Wellborn, Lexie Wellborn, Spencer Kennedy and Paige Hutchison. She also had six great grandchildren. She is survived by a host of cousins, aunts, nieces and nephews.
A special thanks from the family goes to her daughter-in-law, Lola, who took care of her for the last 5 years of her life. Patricia had a special relationship to Lola’s daughter and son Brook Sims (Porky) and Porter Lewis (Brandi). During her last days her niece Pam LeTexier and nephews Kirk and Doug Bradford assisted in her care.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her three siblings Virginia McClane, Billie Bradford and John Brewer and her grandson Brock Hayden.
Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Hospice, 668 Jordan St., Shreveport or Christ the King Church, 425 McCormick St. in Bossier City, LA. The family is forever grateful for the tender loving care that was given by St. Joseph’s Hospice and Dr. Joseph Tynes and Dr. Britton Eaves.
