Ramona June Carter

Ramona retired from North West LA Developmental Center as a Human Resource Analyst. She spent her retired years doing things she loved: quilting, sewing, gardening, reading, working puzzles and spending time with her large family. She was a great problem solver and a whiz with numbers. She was always polite and professional and loved by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mack M Carter; her son, Richard D Carter; sister, Joy Y Gray; and both parents. Ramona is survived by her brother, Gerald F Gray of Wichita, KS; children, Mona G Dawson Moreland, Weylin E Dawson, Mack E Carter, Mark E Carter, Robbie K Carter, Melanie J Carter Smith; 18 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren.

There will be no public service scheduled, cremation services provided by Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home in Haughton, LA. Private graveside service and burial to be held on her birthday later this year.

Flowers and etc. may be sent to Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home for private/family visitation scheduled on Thursday, May 14 at 3pm.
