Layne was preceded in death by her grandparents Judy and Bob Holdsworth and her grandmother, Violet Guidry Leger. Layne was given the gift of life from her hero, Cameron Dice, who preceded her in death on March 12th, 2018.
She is survived by her parents, Tammy Anderson and Randal Leger of Benton, LA; two brothers, Jesse and her sister-in-love, Deanna Anderson of Benton, LA, and Zachary Leger of Benton, LA; her favorite person on earth, her niece, Darcy Ann Anderson; two grandfathers, Jake “Buster” Leger and Rodney Burkett; a host of aunts, uncles and cousins who she loved fiercely; her special family, Amy, Rylee, and Kooper Foy; and her precious puppy, Percy.
Layne was a kind, genuine and optimistic young lady. She never let her health become a crutch and always remained fearless. She always smiled and persevered through years of pain and the unknown. She never gave up! She was a radiant light to all who knew her and the perfect example of how to overcome and show true grit. The world is so much dimmer without her light, but she’s shining in heaven pain free. She left a huge impact on her many friends near and far. She loved the beach, books, everything Halloween, and brussels sprouts! We ask that everyone remember her beautiful eyes, her smile, and that big booming laugh.
Special thanks to her doctors, Larry and Aaron Boardwell, for 17 years of care. She would ask everyone to sign their organ donor cards in her honor because Cameron gave her over 3 years of freedom and time to do the things she loved with the ones she loved most. Layne, you were our happiest hello and our saddest goodbye! May angels lead you in.
