GREENWELL SPRINGS, LA – A Graveside service for Richard H. Jones, Sr. will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, September 29, 2014 at Hill Crest Memorial Park with Bro. Billy Pierce officiating. The family will be receiving friends for visitation on Sunday, September 28, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Richard was born to Henry and Stella Jones on February 22, 1937 in Haynesville, LA. He married his wife Frances and they resided in Greenwell Springs, Louisiana, where he founded A&B Concrete Coring Company, Inc. He was a graduate of Haughton High School and attended Louisiana Tech. After retirement, he had many and varied hobbies, including gardening. He also enjoyed raising and showing championship miniature dachshunds.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Stella Jones and his brother, Donald Ray Jones.
Richard is survived by his wife, Frances Thompson Jones, his son Richard H Jones, Jr. and wife Kathleen, his son, Jimmy Don Jones, and wife LaDawn, grandchildren Adam, Daniel, Amanda, Kacee and Stacee.
