Hello Dad, 
Life is still going here, your granddaughters are brilliant and beautiful, grown women now. I miss our talks and visits, your voice. My memories do not bring pain anymore, but of joy of the time and laughter we shared. Dancing, parks, fajita days long biblical talks. I share a love of children and of nature as you did. “I will walk with Lord all my days” as you said, on your last day on earth. Till we see each other heaven side, big hug and kiss!

As I was sitting here at work, your crossed my mind and I just felt the need to google your name. I had no idea this existed until 10 minutes ago. Papaw, you were my rock, my best friend, and the biggest role model I had in life. You gave the world to my brothers and I. I think about you every single day and it’s been almost 7 years later. You’d be proud of the woman I have become. I graduated high school, I’ve been living on my own for about 3 1/2 years now, I’m currently in college and will graduate in May. I’ll soon be starting the real journey of my life. The selfish side of me wishes you were still here, but I know you are pain free and enjoying a beautiful life in heaven. I’m so blessed you shared your faith with me because I know I will see you one day again. You were by side every single day for 14 years and I felt so lost for a long time. The older I get, the more questions I have for you. One day I’ll be able to sit next to your bedside again and listen to your corny jokes and ask you all the questions under the sun. I’m still pretty bad at math, no matter how hard you tried to teach me, it just never stuck HAHA. I love you papaw... with all of my heart and more! Thank you for help raise me into the woman I am today. I hope I’m making you proud.

It was a shock when I discovered that Roy had passed. It's been years since I last saw Roy. We were in the Air Force at Barksdale. See ya Roy!

You always were smiling when I saw you met you when Tori was only two or three and Cliff came to work for you . He loves you so much everybody does I know your pain free now and you will always be missed

Had I only known = your early morning call the day before you went to your "ETERNAL HOME" would be the last time I heard your voice, the last time you said " I LOVE YOU " & the last time I called you: ROY BOY on this side of Heaven.It touches me deeply my name was on your list of last call "GOODBYES"! A special relationship that runs 40 deep: hours upon hours of BIBLE STUDY we shared on the Sabbath: the WISDOM our Lord gave you thru HIS WORD you shared so compassionately to any one that would "BE STILL & LISTEN"! You lived your WITNESS daily in every aspect of your life! Always willing to give financial assistance to both your ex-wives; long after the kids were adults! Taking care of all needs of your family, including supporting your stepchildren way into adulthood. Always available with open heart for your grandchildren!  Your favorite phrase about children: SHOW THEM THE WAY & THEY WILL NOT DEPART FROM IT. Raise them up- in the way they should go is just what you did & it is time to REAP that reward! Your daughter,Tammy & eldest son, Scotty are both bearing testimony for your love of GOD! You told me so many times as our kids seemed to venture off path: "we raised them to Love God, Seek God... They WILL RETURN to GOD!" AMEN- Your love of ALL family is so apparent. Even your sisters rushed to your side & took you to another State for the best care possible! Your sisters are your 'angels on earth'! I am so BLESSED to have been a part of your life; at one point co-parenting our children as we tried to give them a good education & nurture their little spirits... while balancing 2 households & our 12 hour jobs! me all night/you all day! Our children say: WE DID WELL! (NOW) Teeheehe You have been a 'staple' in the life of your family & the BEST of friends to so many! My very BEST FRIEND in every sense of the word FRIEND: someone you would die for! Grab yourself another star for your crown for the FRIEND you have been in my life for 40 years! Time to put down the wire pullers, Roy Boy, Heaven's lights are always ON! We will look to the night skies for the 'twinkling' of stars; your wink to us that you never ran a single wire! Our hearts are burdened with your departure. Not saying GOODBYE! Just 'so long' until we meet again!  My prayers for your family & loved ones: asking God to send Angels to carry their sorrows to the feet of Jesus ... leaving only their GOOD MEMORIES! Meanwhile: I can imagine you seated at the Lord's table eating APPLE PIE with just the right 'crunch'!   Your silence now is still SCREAMING LOUDLY of your LOVE!

As a businessman & mutual customer, I have always had the utmost respect for the relationship we developed over the years.  Roy was one of the nicest gentlemen that I have had the opportunity to work with - both sides of a business relationship. Once I got to know Roy, there was not a chance I was going to use one of his competitors. I am so very sorry to be in Florida for vacation this week so that I cannot extend those  feelings in person. i want to extend my condolences. 
May you all have peace & memories of love. But I know Roy will be missed because I will miss him.

Roy was a blessing to all that knew him. He loved his family very much. He especially loved Caitlin, Blair and Evan. They were such a inspiration to him. They always put a smile on his face. They were his world. We will all miss you Roy. Thank you for being the best Grandfather in the world to my Grandchildren. They loved you so much and you will be missed by all of us. You have suffered for so long and now you are with God. No more pain and suffering. I am so glad that you and I had our talk about your faith. It gave me peace in my heart knowing that you were ready to walk into God's kingdom.

To the man whos been my rock and strnegh since I was 5. I Will always remember the kind man you were. You had a faith that was always strong and you instilled that in me I love you Daddy

My Darling Husband, words will never be enough to tell you how much your Love Enriched my life. In good times and in bad. In sickness and in health you completed me. You will always be my Better Half. Thank you for your teachings of faith and never ending Love. Thank you for all of the children. They filled our hearts with joy. Thank you for your strength when I needed a little more. Thank you for Being YOU! You taught me well. Our love will continue on forever.

You have loved and cared for me since I was 5 years old. You Treated Me and loved me as your own. I will forever be grateful for the past 30 years that I have had the privilege of calling you Daddy. I will always remember the times we have had together. You loved everyone whole heartedly and Instilled that in your children. You were A Wonderful Man of God A Wonderful Father and Husband and A Wonderful Grandfather I will make sure that I always remember to be the GOD Loving Person You Have Taught me to be. I will miss my father very much, he has always been a pillar in my life with his feet planted firmly on the lords stone of faith. My father worked his whole life to provide for others being unconcerned for himself. I hope he finds the peace and reward that he truly deserves for his unconditional personal sacrifice. I would like to thank my family who ensured his final time in this life was peaceful. I spent a lot of time with my father when we worked together. Those are my most precious memories of him. At the time I thought he was teaching me to be an electrician, I now know that he was teaching me to be a man, a father , a husband and a believer. I know my little brother has these same memories and remembers times where us three were together on job sites.  He often spoke throughout his life of faith and made sure that he instilled that into us. Thank you Dad, I will miss and love you always.

Daddy, You were the special light in my life. The person who always gave comfort and an encouraging word to me. Spending hours talking about the Lord or something in world I will not have with anyone else. You always took the time for Brenna and Carisa no matter where we were stationed in world to make sure they knew there PaPaw, how the love you. I have never known a man with such wisdom, honesty and integrity as you. A God given heart of Gold for other people. I have watched you fight as no other these past months and told you how you were the strongest I had ever seen you in my life to endure all you did with this disease. I will hold your last words dear to my heart they are truly Gifts from the Lord I was able to receive them. I will always stay close to the Lord and I love you too! No more "shoulda, woulda, coulda's Dad. I love you so much that a piece of my very soul has gone to the Kingdom with you. Rest in the Almighty as I know you are.
